Fine powdered lime can be sprayed with suitable equipment , normal lime, gypsum and dolomite are usually applied with a belt spreader and all of the dry elements such as rock phosphate and prilled fertilizers can be spread with a spinner type spreader.
Fine Lime
Ag-lime is generally used to increase soil pH, which can increase crop yields among a wide range of soil conditions. Ag-lime is often used to improve the physical structure of the soil by reducing surface crusting, increasing water retention, and reducing soil erosion. Lime treatment helps crops to better tolerate drought and/or wet conditions by increasing both root penetration and water percolation through the soil.
Using ag-lime to adjust pH in soils can reduce toxic levels of manganese, iron and aluminum.
Manganese and iron exhibit toxicity to plants at a low soil pH.
Aluminum increases in solubility as soil pH decreases. High levels of aluminum can restrict root and plant development.
In addition to the above qualities, ag-lime has been shown to increase herbicide effectiveness, increase nutrient availability to plants and add calcium to soil.

CMP 0-8-0 & CMP 0-7-0-2 (Certified Organic)
CMP 0-8-0 & CMP 0-7-0-2 helps protect the ENVIRONMENT because it is insoluble in water and does not leach into waterways, like conventional phosphorous (P) fertilizers, yet 95% of the P is readily available to plants.
CMP is a fused calcium-magnesium-silicate phosphate, not a reactive phosphate rock. It is manufactured at high temperature from naturally occurring minerals and because there is no chemical change is suitable for use in both organic and conventional agriculture. It has been certified by Australian Certified Organic as an allowable input in organic agriculture.

CMP assists in increasing soil pH to a sustainable level while providing useful amounts of macro elements Ca, Mg, Si and P as well as a range of micronutrients. It works with the natural soil chemistry to digest soil acid as well as providing minerals in a plant available form.
CMP 0-8-0 is high in plant available calcium (24%), magnesium (10%), silicon (11%) and phosphorous (8%) and also acts as an alternative to lime.
